We have an exciting weekend coming up with the Cork International Folk Festival. We’re running our annual festival market on the Grand Parade in Cork. And on Sunday the festival will be hosting its outdoor Ceile Mor at the market so if you feel up to doing the Seige of Ennis then why not come down and join in – you don’t need to know how to dance as there will be festival dancers there to give you a helping hand. Besides its only a bit of craic.
As well as the market we’ve been running childrens carnival workshops for the last 4 weeks in the City Library in preparation for our community carnival parade that will be starting off at Brown Thomas on Patrick Street and heading down Oliver Plunkett Street to the Market. The parade will be starting at 2pm and led by the Ballyphehane Pipe Band and Cork Music Works Samba Band. So, if you and your family want to join in you’re very welcome. There should be loads of extra hats, masks, flags and musical instruments to wear and play.
We hope to see you over the weekend
